A member of the Just Shoot forums, plaidcasual, is trying to organise an exhibition at the Round Foundry Media Centre in Leeds. The offer is open to anyone to exhibit - so far there are 9 exhibitors with room for more. There will be a meeting at the Adelphi in Leeds to organise the format. It will be on Thursday 12th July from 6:30pm onwards. All are welcome, but do drop plaidcasual an email (rcusworth[at]hotmail.com) if you going to attend.
If you just want to come along to the pub meet, feel free to come and talk lomo/photography. Thanks!
A group of lomographers from Just Shoot are having an exhibition of their images at Kro2 on Oxford Road (near the BBC) next month. The exhibition will provide a mixture of lomowall displays and the more traditional framed prints, hung in both the bar and restaurant areas of this popular Manchester venue. The list of lomographers already taking part includes Dave, Lori, Vanessa, James, Edward and Ryan. More are signing up all the time so check out the forums if you would like to join in - there's still time!
There will be a launch party to celebrate this, Just Shoot's third public display of images, on Thursday 13th April from 8pm. Please come along and give your support on the night and bring all your friends! We will also be printing up some flyers to publicise the event so please let us know if you would be able to distribute some around Manchester for us.
After the launch party, the images will remain on display for another two months for those of you unable to come along on the night and meet us. We hope you will be able to come along and take a look.
UPDATE: We now have a comfirmed list of DJs for the night: 20:00-21:00 Dan Barrett, 21:00-22:00 Special Guest DJ, 22:00-23:00 Dave Allen, and 23:00-00:00 Daz Taylor. The Special Guest DJ will be Dave Fox, aka Joe Ladyboy - founder of Manchesters fabulous Valentine Records, solo artist and creator of the popular (often sold out) club night 'To Amy with Love'.
